| A day-blooming evening primrose and one of our favorite plants. It will perform well in the toughest places and you just can't hurt it. If you are planting on a slope--and if you only have a packet of seed--it might be helpful to start plants in containers. The seeds are very small and can wash. The little plants are tough, though, and easy to transplant. You'll be happy to see this one return again year after year. Be careful where you put it in formal gardens as they are spreading; competes well with grasses. Will fill a ditch you don't want to mow or a mailbox area you can't water. |
