Everyone who's driven through Texas in the spring, will never forget the expanses of bluebonnets throughout the state. It is indigenous to Texas and southern Oklahoma as far as I can tell. Take heart you non-Texans, you can still start indoors in January or February by soaking seeds in hot water till they swell then sow them in some potting soil and they will germinate quickly. They'll be blooming by Mother's Day. Yeeee-haaaa!
