| Swamp sunflower, also called narrow-leaf sunflower, is a native perennial with abundant yellow blooms in late summer through mid-fall. Will take periods of dry but excells in moist soils. Good for drainage ditches, boggy spots, rain gardens, water gardens, etc. (can tolerate waterlogged conditions). Is also salt-tolerant, so good for coastal areas. Attracts song birds and butterflies. Can spread by rhizomes, so careful in confined, formal spaces. |
